Use the timer without opening the app
Starting with Pomo Land 1.2, you can control the timer from the Lock Screen, Siri, and Control Center.
You can leave your phone where it is.
Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
- Tap “Start” and lock your phone. The Lock Screen shows the time left in your focus session and the next break.
- Tap the round button to pause, and tap it again to resume.
- When a break ends, it says “Break’s over”. Tap “Start next focus” to begin the next session right there.
- When the timer is paused or a break has ended, tap × to hide the timer display.
The first time it appears, iOS asks “Allow Live Activities from Pomo Land?” Choose “Allow”.
Siri and Shortcuts
- Say “Start a Pomo Land timer” to Siri to begin a focus session.
- Say “Pause the Pomo Land timer” to pause, and “Resume Pomo Land” to resume.
- “Start Timer” and “Pause Timer” also appear in the Shortcuts app, so you can use them in automations.
Control Center (iOS 18 and later)
- Open Control Center, touch and hold an empty area, and choose “Add a Control”.
- Add “Start Timer” under Pomo Land to begin a focus session with one tap.
Alert me even in Silent mode (iOS 26 and later)
- Tap the gear icon and turn on “Alert me even in Silent mode”. iOS asks for permission to use alarms. Choose “Allow”.
- An alarm tells you when a focus session or break ends, even in Silent mode or a Focus.
- From the alarm, choose “Stop” or “Start next focus”.
